Amanda C. Hickerson, LCMHCS, LPC
Psychotherapist

About: Amanda Hickerson is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in the state of North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Religious Studies. She earned her Masters of Arts degree from Regent University.

Amanda has more than 14 years of experience working with clients who represent a wide range of backgrounds and ages. She has counseled children, adolescents, adults, and couples, all of whom were seeking to sort through issues related to anxiety, depression, relational and family matters, substance abuse and topics related to spirituality/faith. She has extensive experience working with those on the Autism Spectrum and helping parents and families of these individuals understand how to best support their loved one.

She also has specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and uses this approach to work with couples in helping them regain a sense of connection in their relationship. Additionally, as a spouse of a career veteran, she understands the unique stressors associated with the military lifestyle.

Although Amanda is highly experienced in many different mental health issues, her superpower is working with veterans/military families and helping couples through a therapeutic approach called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This type of counseling is perfect for:

  • Helping create attachments and sit with painful and heavy emotions
  • Attuning with those in their experience and helping them slow down to identify messages believed about themselves and what's happening within
  • Helping couples develop the language to emotionally connect

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hanging out with her family, traveling, and reading. She offers services via teletherapy only, which makes it super convenient for individuals looking to save time on travel and conduct their sessions from the comfort of home!

Vision: "My goal as a therapist is to meet my clients where they are and walk alongside them on their individual journey to help them find peace and healing for themselves in a non-judgmental safe space. Because we are human, we all suffer and have struggles of some sort. We also each have the capacity for growth, healing, and building a life that promotes health and wellbeing for self and in our relationships with others. I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership that aims to support and empower each individual to heal mind, body, and spirit and free themselves from pain of the past and present in order to promote lasting positive change for self. Vision: "I believe that true wellness is more than just physical health. I believe that essential oils are a valuable resource when it comes to inspiring a positive emotional state, restoring physical balance, enhancing spiritual awareness, purifying homes, and healing your soul. My ultimate hope is to show God's love manifested in the miracle of plant molecules that make up these essential oils. I look forward to working with you and adding an additional service to your wellness journey."

Allison C. Cabral
Essential Oil Specialist

About: Allison Cabral dove into the essential oil world in 2014, after beginning her own wellness journey and discovering the healing properties of oils. She discovered Young Living's products and fell in love with their commitment to creating ethically sourced, environmental friendly, empirically evidenced, therapeutic grade products.

Allison and her family use Young Living's essential oil products for emotional, gut, hormone, and sleep support,  supplements, household cleaning solutions, pet care, cooking, personal hygiene, and even taming tempers! Her family and home have been transformed, as a result. She looks forward to offering essential oil workshops, training, and education for those wishing to ditch the toxins and commit to a healthier lifestyle! Feel free to head on over to our essential oil's page and shoot her a message today!
