Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Active and unrestricted professional license to practice in North Carolina (we’ll assist with NC licensure if needed)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Maintain liability and malpractice insurance
  • Keep accurate and timely clinical records
  • Provide biopsychosocial evaluations, identify problems, offer crisis interventions, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy
  • Develop and monitor treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Preferred: Experience working with adolescents and/or couples

 

Skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge, including psychotherapy interventions and diagnostic techniques (DSM-V familiarity)
  • Confident in assessing crises and responding appropriately
  • Knowledge of community resources to support clients holistically
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations across a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Empathetic and attuned to the emotional needs of clients
  • Able to provide parental education and family support resources when needed
  • Inspires hope, motivates clients, and maintains a positive, solution-focused outlook
