Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
- Active and unrestricted professional license to practice in North Carolina (we’ll assist with NC licensure if needed)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Maintain liability and malpractice insurance
- Keep accurate and timely clinical records
- Provide biopsychosocial evaluations, identify problems, offer crisis interventions, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy
- Develop and monitor treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Preferred: Experience working with adolescents and/or couples
Skills
- Strong clinical knowledge, including psychotherapy interventions and diagnostic techniques (DSM-V familiarity)
- Confident in assessing crises and responding appropriately
- Knowledge of community resources to support clients holistically
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with diverse populations across a range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Empathetic and attuned to the emotional needs of clients
- Able to provide parental education and family support resources when needed
- Inspires hope, motivates clients, and maintains a positive, solution-focused outlook
